Last week we held our annual One Step Recruitment Awards Night – our way of celebrating the great and the good within our growing company!
In such a fast moving industry it’s hard to take stock of just how well certain branches and individuals are doing at One Step – often personal milestones can be lost amongst the noise of recruiting, so our MD Nick Mock gave us the opportunity to celebrate some of our strongest team members…as a team!
As part of our blog series focussing on our winners, today we’re talking to James Tuckett, who won the “Company Person of the Year” award!
James has been a stand out leader in 2019 – from hitting personal diploma milestones to overseeing a record breaking Commercial department (plus line managing the Permanent Recruitment Consultant of the year 2 years running), he’s also been the lead in project managing and launching two apps, working across all three branches, developing player and club sponsorship at Somerset Cricket Club with our Managing Director…the list goes on. However, what James has been most proud of is helping and tutoring multiple consultants at One Step through their REC exams:
“My most proud moment of 2019 has been getting a team of consultants through their difficult REC exams and seeing them succeed within their specialities. I’ve done those exams and it can feel overwhelming! But the team have absolutely excelled and I couldn’t be prouder of them. I’m also proud to say all the One Steppers passed their exams!
Coupled with that was the fact I could tie that into my Diploma in Management qualification, which was a massive personal goal for me and I’m over the moon I get to share that with my team”.
