We are looking to recruit an experienced caravan and motorhome service and repair technician for a small but growing business in Cricket St Thomas, near Chard in Somerset.

This role would be perfect for someone with a strong auto-mechanical, automotive or electrical background, who’s able to bring a multi-skilled, diligent eye to the role. You’ll also have body work/smart repair experience on cars, caravans and/or motorhomes, or be able to show a distinct interest and passion for auto-repairs.

Your should be able to work to a very high standard within a small team. You will be reliable, punctual and, as the role is customer facing, confident and comfortable in your communication skills and able to deal with on the job queries and adapt to the pressures of the role quickly and efficiently.

Ideally, you’ll have City & Guilds or relevant qualifications, but full training will be provided.

Duties will include:

  • Caravan servicing,
  • Motorhomes Habitation Servicing,
  • Internal and External repairs,
  • Accessory fittings,
  • Gas and Electrical testing,
  • Body work repairs,
  • General housekeeping duties as required.

A valid driving licence will be essential for this role. A towing licence or experience would be also be an advantage.

Note: this is a temporary to permanent placement, and you’ll have a real opportunity to make this role a permanent career move.

Your working hours are Monday – Friday between 08.30 – 17:00, and your competitive salary will be discussed at the interview stage.
