We have a really exciting opportunity for a skilled Sous Chef to join one of our prestigious clients based in Ilchester area.
You will be working within a beautiful and peaceful building, in a welcoming and organised environment and surrounded by very hard working staff where you will be part of a team of 4.
Our client serves high end gastro style breakfasts and dinners to its guests throughout the week, serving lunches on Sundays only. They also offer a stunning wedding venue and reception area too and have a very busy wedding season.
You will be in charge of ensuring the meals are prepared, cooked and served to the expected standard so that all customers are given the best service and experience!
This role is offering full time hours; working Monday – Sunday with flexible hours, our client is happy to try a fit around YOU, as long as you are there for the required services.
Although you will be working weekends, you will be given TWO days off during the Mon – Fri week. Your days off will alternate each week depending on services and events, being a total of around 45 hours a week, along with overtime options.
The right applicant will have excellent leadership qualities, have full knowledge and a background in a single or several Sous Chef positions and understand the general responsibilities of a Sous Chef.
You MUST have your own shoes and chef whites. Your own knives are desirable but not essential. You will be assisting the Head Chef on a daily basis and as well as that must be able to comfortably and confidently take over if the Head Chef is to be away from the kitchen at any time. Other duties will involve stock takes, making orders and menu planning – your salary will be set between £24,000pa and £26,000, dependent on experience.
