The girls at our Chard Branch put their baking skills to the test!
Contenders Sally Light and Sam Garner took on today’s challenge that was the humble Banana Bread to shake up our Tuesday, featuring our very own Dan Shortland as Mary Berry!
Sally made a healthy Banana bread with spelt flour and coconut sugar (topped with dark chocolate chips YUM!) whilst Sam went for a more traditional butter and sugar loaded Banana loaf!
The girls were on tender hooks whilst Dan tried both the cakes. Our very own Mary Berry advised Sam’s loaf was instantly ‘Bananary’ whilst Sally’s had a lighter texture to it.
The winner?!… Dan said this was a very tough decision, but he is going to go with… *drum roll please* Sam Garner… Based purely on the fact there was a more instant banana taste!
Best pop the kettle on!
