For some companies the slow trudge to Xmas means dark half days, office slowdowns and a few days off – but not in recruitment!

Two of Somerset’s most famed industries – Hospitality and Manufacturing – are entering their busiest times of the year and as such, we’re on hand to help.

After a brilliant summer supporting the Somerset County Cricket Ground with fantastic game day staff, both for the regular season and the World Cup, our minds are now set firmly on our Winter Hospitality Season, supporting local Pubs, Restaurants and Events companies with their Xmas rush with temporary and permanent chefs, front of house, waiting, cleaning and support staff.

We’re also proudly supporting another leading sports venue in Taunton with 14 days’ worth of event staff, starting tomorrow with our FIRST Winter Hospitality Event!

Somerset’s manufacturing industry is also mid-way through a huge ramp up of output in readiness for Xmas and the New Year, not to mention the on-going discussions around a January Brexit, which means more staff needed and potentially more uncertainty in the near future.

Led by our wonderful award winning Chard branch, and our now firmly established Technical Consultant Sam Scriven, we are able to support across the entire manufacturing staff spectrum, from assembly operatives all the way up to Warehouse and Supply Chain Managers, QA, Machinists and more.

One Step are approaching one of their busiest times of year – and our consultants are continuing to be a vital resource for our local businesses at the heart of business in the South West.
