Temporary staff payroll
If you choose One Step Recruitment to supply temporary workers, you can leave the payroll to us – this includes NI, tax, pension and holiday pay – all carried out in-house and never outsourced.

A CV can only give you so much information. We don’t feel we can represent a candidate without first having met with them. Everyone who applies for work is interviewed by consultants in their own field of expertise. We can carry out numeracy and literacy testing, as well as more focused tests such as data entry, food hygiene, customer service and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Results are available for review by employers.
Your needs will be met by an experienced recruitment consultant who works within your industry and can advise on, if needed, matters such as skill bases and salary. To ensure our team is at the top of their game, we like them to be REC qualified by exam (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) – not all agencies are the same and ours is unique in it’s hands-on, locally-minded consultancies.
The recruitment process
One Step Recruitment uses the most advanced software available in the recruitment industry. When a role is received we search our significant database to compile a shortlist of the most suitable applicants for the job. On top of this huge resource, we advertise on market leading job boards to widen our search and approach those who have not already registered with us to come in and apply.
We source, vet, interview and prepare all candidates that we send to our clients – you can be reassured only the strongest and most applicable of candidates pass across your desk. Your time is valuble and our service prides itself on accuracy and efficiency.
24 hour availability
You don’t stop at 17:30, so neither do we. If our offices are closed, your call doesn’t sit on an answerphone until the next working day. It will go to the on-call consultant with a remote desktop. This means we can take a booking or fill roles in times of sickness, over holiday periods or weekends.
Our 24 hour on call phone is also an important factor for applicants for out of office conversations, guaranteeing privacy and an effective consultancy away from office hours.
There is no charge for advertising your role, viewing CVs, shortlisting and arranging interviews. We work on a success only basis, so if we can’t fill your role you don’t owe us a penny. Only when your chosen employee starts working for you will our fees become payable.
